Vintage LEGO®

Vintage LEGO® is all about classic LEGO® themes that are no longer part of the regular range but remain hugely popular with collectors and builders. Think of the character of LEGOLAND sets, the animal figures from Fabuland (first introduced in 1979, among others), and adventurous series such as Adventurers featuring Johnny Thunder.

This collection also includes themes with a style all their own, such as Time Cruisers/Time Twisters (time travel) and underwater action from Aquazone. These lines were released in the 1990s, making them especially interesting if you are looking for that “old LEGO atmosphere”.

What makes vintage so enjoyable is that you are building with history. Whether you choose Pirates with ships and forts (first introduced in 1989, among others) or Castle with knights and castles, you are bringing a piece of LEGO® nostalgia into your home. And because LEGO® bricks have been compatible with today’s bricks since 1958, you can often combine vintage parts with modern LEGO®.

What counts as Vintage LEGO®?

Vintage LEGO® refers to older, often discontinued themes and sets that are primarily known from previous decades. This collection therefore includes themes such as LEGOLAND, Fabuland, Train, Time Cruisers/Time Twisters, Aquazone, Adventurers, Belville, Model Team, Pirates and Castle.

Why are Vintage LEGO® sets popular with collectors?

Because many vintage themes have a distinctive style, unique minifigures/figures, and special parts, and have been out of production for a long time. As a result, some sets are harder to find, especially in good condition. Themes such as Pirates, Castle, and Fabuland have especially strong nostalgic appeal.

Can I buy vintage LEGO® and combine it with modern LEGO®?

In many cases, yes. The LEGO Group states that LEGO® bricks made since 1958 are compatible with today’s LEGO® bricks. This means you can often use vintage parts without any problems in modern builds and MOCs.

Are used LEGO® sets complete?

Yes, we carefully inspect every LEGO® set. If anything is missing, it will be noted in the product description. Is a piece missing? Let us know, and we'll make it right.
