LEGO® from 1975
LEGO® 1975: a red double-decker as a centerpiece
The LEGO® 760-2 London Bus is a recognizable model within this collection. The red body and two rows of windows make the double-decker instantly recognizable. For vintage LEGO® vehicle enthusiasts, it offers a different kind of addition than a small passenger car.
The current bus is listed as built and as-is, without a box or booklet. This is relevant when comparing LEGO® sets from 1975: the set number tells you which model it is, but not whether an offered example is complete or what packaging comes with it.
Small vehicles and early LEGO® figures
Alongside the bus, you will find Antique Car 196 and Airplane 195. The more compact models show how many different vehicles could be made recognizable with a simple building style.
The collection also includes figure old013 with a blue torso, red legs, and a black hat. With LEGO® figures from the 1970s, the design matters: these early LEGOLAND® figures visibly differ from the later minifigures with movable arms and legs. Therefore, also use the figure code when comparing them.
Building a focused collection from the 1970s
First choose your subject: an old city layout, a series of vehicles, or the development of figures. Then check the color, model number, condition, and whether a box or booklet is included. With an as-is listing, you should not assume guaranteed completeness.
