LEGO® from 1989
LEGO® from 1989: a year of pirates and space police
In 1989, LEGO® Pirates began, with pirates and soldiers gaining their own world alongside the existing city and space themes. If you are looking for LEGO® Pirates from 1989, both sets and individual figures are interesting: a missing pirate can complete an existing display. This year collection brings together various themes; the product overview shows which items are currently available.
LEGO® Space Police from 1989 also has a recognizable place in this selection. The Spy-Trak I 6895 fits well in a collection of classic space models. If you are building a street or racetrack, you can look at the Precinct Cruiser 6506 and the Red Line Racer 6526.
Recognizing an old model by its set number
A set number is more useful than just a remembered color or vehicle shape. With 6506, 6526, or 6895, you can search specifically for a particular design, while the year collection helps you discover contemporaries. For individual minifigures, also check the listed version; a similar face or torso does not automatically mean it is the same figure.
What should you look for in LEGO® from 1989?
For each product, check the condition, photos, and description of what is included. Used sets may be missing the box, building instructions, or parts; an original catalog photo is therefore not a complete list of the contents of the item being offered. Choose the model first, then check whether that version fits your building plan or collection.
