With LEGO® City, you build a world that keeps growing. Think streets full of vehicles, recognizable buildings, and minifigures you can use to recreate scenes or invent your own. LEGO® City is designed specifically for combining sets, so you can keep adding new stories and places to your city.

What many builders call “LEGO® City” also has a rich history. The city line began as (LEGOLAND) Town around the introduction of the minifigure in 1978. It was then briefly called World City (2003–2004), and from 2005 onward it was officially LEGO City. That is why this collection includes both classic LEGO® Town sets and newer City sets.

Within LEGO® City, the focus is often on recognizable themes such as emergency services (police/fire brigade), transport and infrastructure (such as trains and stations), and everyday city details that make your city feel complete. This way, you are not just building one set, but an entire environment.

What exactly is LEGO® City?

LEGO® city refers to City/Town-like sets for building urban life: buildings, vehicles, and minifigures for all kinds of stories. LEGO® City is designed to mix and expand sets, allowing your city to grow larger and more diverse.

Is LEGO® Town the same as LEGO® City?

Basically, yes: LEGO® Town is the older name for the city line. That name was later replaced by World City and, from 2005 onward, by LEGO City. That’s why Town sets and City sets are often considered part of the same “LEGO® city” experience.

What should I look out for when buying LEGO® City?

First, decide whether you prefer the classic feel of Town or the more modern City style. Then determine what your city needs (e.g., vehicles, buildings, or a train set) and expand it step by step. The best thing about a LEGO® city is that you can combine everything into one larger whole.

Are used LEGO® sets complete?

Yes, we carefully inspect every LEGO® set. If anything is missing, it will be noted in the product description. Is a piece missing? Let us know, and we'll make it right.

How do returns work?
