LEGO® from 1973
LEGO® 1973: from vintage car to rocket base
The 1973 selection showcases various building themes side by side. You’ll find recognizable vehicles, a rocket base, buildings and supplementary sets with parts. For vintage LEGO® collectors, that’s useful: you can search specifically for a standalone model or for building material for an existing display.
The LEGO® 610 Vintage Car is a red vintage car with a black roof, transparent windshield and yellow details. The current listing states that it is a complete set with an alternative box, without an instruction booklet.
Shell Tank Truck 688 and Rocket Base 358
The LEGO® 688 Shell Tank Truck fits well in a collection of older utility vehicles. There may be multiple listings for the same set number; compare their condition and contents separately rather than assuming the examples are identical.
With LEGO® 358 Rocket Base the subject shifts to a rocket installation. This older model should not be confused with later space sets featuring modern minifigures. The product description notes some discoloration of the white bricks in the current example.
Adding parts and other models
Doors and Windows 933, Wheels and Tires 936 and Doors and Fences 937 show that LEGO® from the 1970s also consisted of targeted expansions. For such a supplementary set, check which parts and packaging are actually included; a set name is not a complete inventory list.
The selection also includes a police car, tugboat and Truck with Excavator. If you’re specifically looking for construction vehicles, you can also view LEGO® from 1974 . De BrickPlaats describes the individual examples, so you can choose based on both theme and condition.
