  • Valhalla for LEGO fans big and small

    I had a truly fantastic Lego experience in Oss today. What a great store and fantastic staff! My son felt like he was in a candy store. Buying used Lego works great. I think they'll need a lot more bricks in the future, because this store might be bursting at the seams soon ;).

Vintage LEGO®

Vintage LEGO® draait om klassieke LEGO® thema’s die je niet meer in het reguliere assortiment ziet, maar die nog steeds enorm geliefd zijn bij verzamelaars en bouwers. Denk aan het karakter van LEGOLAND-sets, de dierfiguren van Fabuland (o.a. geïntroduceerd in 1979) en avontuurlijke reeksen zoals Adventurers met Johnny Thunder.

Binnen deze collectie kom je ook thema’s tegen met een heel eigen stijl, zoals Time Cruisers/Time Twisters (tijdreizen) en onderwater-actie uit Aquazone. Deze lijnen verschenen in de jaren ’90 en zijn daardoor extra interessant als je juist die “oude LEGO sfeer” zoekt.

Wat vintage zo leuk maakt: het is bouwen met historie. Of je nu gaat voor Pirates met schepen en forten (o.a. geïntroduceerd in 1989) of voor Castle met ridders en kastelen, je haalt een stukje LEGO®-nostalgie in huis. En omdat LEGO® stenen sinds 1958 compatibel zijn met stenen van nu, kun je vintage onderdelen vaak gewoon combineren met modern LEGO®.

Why are Vintage LEGO® sets popular among collectors?

Because many vintage themes have a recognizable style, unique minifigures/figures, and parts, and have been out of production for a long time. As a result, you encounter some sets less often, especially in good condition. Lines such as Pirates, Castle, and Fabuland, in particular, hold strong nostalgic value.

Can I buy Vintage LEGO® and combine it with modern LEGO®?

In veel gevallen wel. De LEGO Group geeft aan dat LEGO® stenen die sinds 1958 zijn gemaakt, compatibel zijn met LEGO® stenen van nu. Daardoor kun je vintage onderdelen vaak probleemloos gebruiken in moderne builds en MOC’s.
