LEGO® Minifigures
LEGO® minifigures instantly add character to any building scene: you create stories, set scenes, and bring vehicles, buildings, and dioramas to life. The LEGO® minifigure as we know it today was launched in 1978, with movable arms and legs, precisely to bring role-play and "life" to LEGO® builds.
LEGO® minifigures are broadly divided into two types: figures that belong to sets (theme or character figures) and collectible minifigures. LEGO's collectible series are often sold in a sealed "mystery" bag and include one or more accessories plus a collector's leaflet—making collecting extra fun (and sometimes surprising).
The popular Collectible Minifigures line has been running for years; Series 1 was released in 2010. This makes "minifigures LEGO®" popular with collectors who want to add to series or find specific figures for their city or MOC.
