LEGO® 2021: building flowers and displaying models
In 2021, the LEGO® Botanical Collection launched with the Flower Bouquet and the Bonsai Tree. That year also saw the release of the compact flower model Roses 40460, with two red roses to build from bricks. Together with Tulips 40461, it shows that a LEGO® building project can also serve as decoration.
The annual collection is broader than flowers. The range includes, for example, Creator 3in1 Medieval Castle 31120, Police Station 10278 and NASA Space Shuttle Discovery 10283. Figures, vehicles and playsets from other themes are also included. The product cards show what De BrickPlaats currently offers.
Choosing a 2021 building set for play or decoration
For a decorative model, the subject, size and available space are important. Two roses call for a different presentation than a spacecraft or a large modular building. If your main aim is building and playing, look at the play features and age indication described for the individual product.
The collection also includes LEGO® Star Wars, NINJAGO, Speed Champions and Super Mario products from 2021. If a figure is missing, search by the exact code; for a building model, search by set number. A theme name alone is often too broad to identify the correct version.
Comparing the contents and condition of LEGO® from 2021
A year collection helps you find releases from the same period, but says nothing about the condition of each item. Therefore, check whether a set is offered new, used or built. Also check the stated completeness and whether minifigures, instructions or a box are included.
If you want to combine buildable flowers from different years, also look at LEGO® from 2022, including Sunflowers 40524. For every combination, the individual product information remains decisive: a vase or other decoration is not automatically part of a flower collection.
