LEGO® Fabuland
LEGO® Fabuland is a distinctive LEGO® theme world introduced in 1979 for children aged 3 to 7. The sets were designed to be easy to build and to make the transition from DUPLO® to the regular LEGO® System smoother.
What makes Fabuland so recognizable are the cheerful animal-head figures and its strong sense of storytelling: LEGO describes it as “stories you can build”, with larger sets featuring instructions that could also be used as a story (great for role-play). You can build houses, boats, fairground rides, and even police and fire stations, all in the same friendly Fabuland style.
Although the line was originally intended for young builders, LEGO® Fabuland is now especially popular with collectors because of its unique figures, colors, and nostalgic appeal. According to New Elementary, a total of 99 Fabuland sets were released between 1979 and 1989.
An added bonus: Fabuland elements connect with LEGO® bricks, so you can also combine them with other building worlds.
