  • Valhalla for LEGO fans big and small

    I had a truly fantastic Lego experience in Oss today. What a great store and fantastic staff! My son felt like he was in a candy store. Buying used Lego works great. I think they'll need a lot more bricks in the future, because this store might be bursting at the seams soon ;).

LEGO® Baseplate

Een LEGO® Baseplate is ideaal als je bouwt met structuur: je zet je bouwwerk stevig neer, kunt makkelijk uitbreiden en je creatie blijft netter staan om te spelen of te displayen. LEGO® baseplates zijn er in verschillende maten, zodat je kunt kiezen wat past bij jouw project: compact, standaard of extra groot.

Veel bouwers starten met een 32x32 basis, zoals de groene baseplate die LEGO® omschrijft als een ruim “landscape” om op te bouwen, spelen en te displayen. Wil je meer ruimte? Dan is een LEGO® Baseplate 48x48 populair voor grotere stadsblokken en uitgebreide layouts; LEGO® geeft daarbij ook de afmeting in centimeters aan. Voor kleinere uitbreidingen of modulaire hoekjes is LEGO® Baseplate 16x16 handig; Brickset noemt 16x16 (naast 32x32) als klassiek formaat dat al in 1978 beschikbaar kwam.

Voor verzamelaars en liefhebbers van vintage scenery is er LEGO® Baseplate Raised: baseplates met hoogteverschillen en “terrain” (bijv. kraters, heuvels, water). Brickset beschrijft dat de eerste raised baseplate al in 1979 in Space opdook en later in meerdere thema’s terugkwam, waardoor ze vandaag vaak als opvallend en verzamelwaardig worden gezien. Daarom zoeken sommige fans specifiek naar een zeldzame LEGO® Baseplate 32x32 met print of reliëf, omdat die direct sfeer geeft aan je bouwwerk zonder dat je het hele landschap hoeft op te bouwen.
