LEGO® Banners / Flags

LEGO® Store Banners are original shop banners (retail displays) that you would sometimes see hanging in LEGO® Stores or at retailers. They are periodically replaced by new campaigns, causing older banners to become “retired” and mainly available through the collectors’ market.

Many of these banners are remarkably large and designed to make a strong impression from a distance in the store. They are often made as fabric banners and designed to hang neatly as a backdrop for a presentation or themed area.

Practical detail: many LEGO® flags have hanging solutions such as rods (often at the top and bottom) and clips, so you can hang them neatly. This also makes them easy to use at home as wall decoration or as a backdrop for your LEGO® collection.

What exactly are LEGO® Store Banners?

LEGO® Store Banners are store banners that were used to make LEGO® themes more visible. They are eventually replaced, so older banners mainly reappear as collectibles.

What is the best way to hang a LEGO® flag?

Many banners are designed to hang with rods and clips so they stay taut. This works well at home too: you hang them similarly to a fabric banner or a “curtain”-style setup.

Why is this often called a “rare LEGO® flag”?

Because these banners are generally not intended as regular retail products and are frequently replaced. As a result, they often only become available through the second-hand or collectors’ market, and availability varies considerably.
